On one occasion during my marathon ironing session, I did have some water come out of the iron, but it was when I overfilled the water tank and was ironing forcefully and rapidly. It didn't leak from the steam vents, it appeared to splash a drop of water from above, and it wasn't a shocker to me. My GE iron used to soak my clothes out of the steam holes, every ironing session, so I know what 'spitting' is, and this iron definitely does not 'spit'.I bought this model because as a quilter, I wanted an iron with an auto shut off, but I wanted an extended shut off time (the other models turn off a lot more quickly than this one). I love how fast this iron heats up. As for actual ironing--it does a very nice job---no better than any other iron would...every iron is simply a hot metal plate that presses out wrinkles..it's not rocket science...it's all about the bells and... Oliso never responded to my emails, finally contacted me by telephone weeks later and refused to honor their warranty. I was informed their products don't break, I had to have dropped it (I truly didn't!), they don't repair anything, I can't have it repaired anywhere because no parts are available. My only recourse was to pay them $72 for them to replace my 2 month old iron. The iron leaks quite a bit of water so ironing the fabric dry takes a while. This is a waste of money for the novelty of having "feet" on the bottom of the iron. |
